20 new resources

I've uploaded 20 new resources this evening.  Among them:

• 3 French Christmas activities for KS3/4
• Some new French Christmas interactives
• Following the results of our recent survey, some French translation activities to go with Studio 1.  I have the Studio books and will work through them first as they seem to be the text books that most people use.

Survey results: Resources for KS3 and KS4

Many thanks to everyone who has responded over the last week to our survey about resources that you would like for Key Stages 3 and 4.  There were 51 responses altogether.

Here are the results:

We asked which language(s) the respondent teaches.  Many respondents named more than one language.

1. users are not so interested in Tarsia puzzles, crosswords, wordsearches and PowerPoints
2. users are looking for grammar drills, worksheets based on text book topics, speaking activities and especially translation activities and reading texts.

37 new resources today

I've uploaded 37 new resources:

• Primary German
• German display
• KS3 German grammar
• Tarsia puzzles for French, Spanish and German

I'm just starting out with German, so please let me know if you find any errors, and I'll correct them right away!

11 new assorted resources today

I've just uploaded a few bits and pieces today:

• Day of the Dead resources for Primary Spanish (would also suit KS3)
• Day of the Dead text for KS3 and for KS4
• German bunting
• Some new numbers dominoes for Primary French 

New interactives with Sugarcane

I've uploaded some French Grammar interactives and some Spanish Grammar interactives made with Sugarcane.  They are most suitable for KS3 and KS4, although more experienced KS2 learners may be able to access some.

33 Interactives and 10 other resources

This morning I have uploaded 28 Quizlet lists for French, Spanish and German, to go with the other interactives, and 5 interactive German games.

There are also some new resources for KS2 French, telling the time - thanks Catherine! - and some new KS3 Spanish worksheets - thanks Marie!

First Primary German resources!

My 13 year old daughter has just started to learn German at school.  You may remember from previous posts that I know next-to-no German.  So I am tackling Duolingo German (which I have to say I am really liking so far) in order to be able to help her and/or understand what she is doing.

My limited knowledge thus far has enabled me to make today the first 27 Primary German resources.  KS3 teachers might like some of them too.

As I learn more, I'll be able to add more!

I've uploaded 16 new resources this morning, mainly for Primary Spanish, but also some for Primary French and a QR code scavenger hunt for Spanish.

Today, April 6th, is Light Bulb Languages's 2nd birthday!

Over the last 2 years we have uploaded over 900 new resources, still completely free to you all.

Welcome to our YouTube channel

If you follow our Twitter feed or have liked us on Facebook, you''ll have seen that Light Bulb Languages now has a YouTube channel!  And with it two new series of videos:  Light Bulb Spanish and Light Bulb French. I have also started a series of "how to make minibooks" videos.

Light Bulb Spanish and French are intended for students to use for private study and "flipped" learning, as well as for non-specialist teachers who want to upskill themselves.

Spanish will take priority in the immediate future as Light Bulb Languages already has a series of upskilling podcasts for French.

Please feel free to request subjects for videos that you would find useful.

Olympics resources have arrived!

I have created a new page today for the 2016 Olympic Games.  There are already some resources in French, Spanish and English, and I will be adding more over the coming weeks.

There are some resources that can't be made yet, due to the ongoing situation with the Russian and Kenyan teams.

18 new resources today

I have uploaded 18 new resources today, mostly for Key Stage 3 French.  There are some new reading texts and some sentence-building worksheets.  Don't forget to do CTRL+F and enter today's date 23.02.16 to find the new resources.

20 new resources today

I've uploaded some more Matisse resources for KS2 French, some reading texts for KS2 French and some Spanish colours spelling resources, among others.

25 new resources today

I have uploaded 25 new resources today:

• Matisse resources for KS2 French.  I'm using them to introduce plural forms with Y6, who have just done Matisse in Art.
• More number activities for KS2 French
• French KS2 Weather resources

• Literary texts for KS4 French and KS4 Spanish.  Suitable for translation, comprehension, adapting for independent writing.....  They are in Word format so that you can adapt the resources.  If you create any activities using these texts, it would be lovely if you could share them with us.
